An elegant fine dining experience awaits you with a vist to Atwater`s, tucked away in the charming Herrington Inn & Spa. The windowed room overlooks a beautiful courtyard with a gazebo and the Fox River beyond. Executive Chef Tom Hiestand promises richly flavored American cuisine using only the freshest and purest ingredients in every dish. Sommelier Debra Metzinger brings wines from around the world to enhance every dish and every palate.

The restaurant has earned AAA’s Four Diamond Award. To earn this award, menus reflect a high degree of creativity and complexity, using imaginative presentations to enhance high quality, market-fresh ingredients. An equally proficient service staff must demonstrate a strong desire to meet or exceed guest expectations. According to AAA, less than 4% of all restaurants evaluated attain this honor.

Fox Valley residents and visitors at the Herrington are welcome to enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner at Atwater’s. Breakfast features traditional omelets, pancakes as well as lighter choices. The lunch menu includes a selection of appetizers, soups and entrée salads. Luncheon entrées range from sandwiches and panini to full entrées, seafood selections and much more.

Dinner features Chef Hiestand’s personal touch on traditional American choices highlighting regional ingredients. Another specialty of Atwater’s is a traditional afternoon tea, offered the third Thursday of every month, beginning promptly at 3 pm. All tea selections are accompanied by finger sandwiches, pastries, warm scones and tea bread with appropriate accompaniments. Besides the selection of teas, Atwater’s offers the option of adding a glass of champagne to your afternoon tea as well!
